The gap we are training providers to close

Most clinicians, medical providers, and birth workers receive little to no formal training in maternal mental health during their professional education. That gap costs lives and leaves families without the care they need at the most vulnerable time.

Our training programs are built to close it, one provider at a time, by giving the full maternal care workforce the language, tools, and cultural competency to show up for every birthing family.

PROVIDER TRAINING

Perinatal Mental Health Training

Quarterly training for clinicians, birth workers, and medical providers ready to recognize and respond to perinatal mental health concerns with confidence. Developed by BGMH Foundation and made possible through funder support. Free seats available for eligible providers.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

Clinical Birth Worker Internship

A dual-track internship program training the next generation of providers who are both licensed mental health clinicians and certified doulas. Open to graduate students in social work, counseling, public health, and related fields with a clear pathway to licensure or maternal health leadership.
