Your mental health
deserves real support
Free, culturally responsive therapy for Black women and birthing individuals who are pregnant or postpartum and cannot afford the care they need.
Made Possible by Our Supporters
Black women deserve mental health care that actually sees them
Why This Matters
Black women and birthing individuals in America face a mental health crisis that goes largely unaddressed. Not because the need is invisible, but because the system was never fully built to serve them.
The BGMH Foundation created the Therapy Voucher Program to change that. This is a free perinatal mental health program that connects Black women in California with culturally responsive therapists during one of life's most vulnerable seasons: pregnancy and postpartum.
The BGMH Foundation Therapy Voucher Program is a funded mental health initiative that provides free therapy to Black women and Black birthing individuals in California who are pregnant or up to 12 months postpartum and cannot afford private mental health care.
