Why EmpowerMOM Matters

Black birthing families continue to experience preventable disparities in maternal health outcomes. EmpowerMOM is part of BGMHF’s effort to close these gaps by increasing access to information, culturally responsive support, mental health awareness, and community care. By presenting this event, BGMHF continues its mission to support families through research-informed programming, trauma-aware mental health services, culturally centered support, and community engagement.

Black Girls Mental Health Foundation is a Black-led nonprofit offering culturally attuned mental health services and perinatal programs across California and Georgia.
